Hanesther Kim is a Senior Associate in LKP Global Law’s transactional group.  Ms. Kim has extensive experience in multi-jurisdictional M&A transactions advising both corporations and individuals with counterparts from different cultures and industries.  While representing one of Asia’s largest conglomerates, she advised on the negotiation, implementation and dispute resolution of cross-border acquisitions and investments spanning the e-commerce, entertainment, automotive, and energy and natural resources sectors. 

Participating in every phase of the M&A process, she advises on shareholders’ agreements, share purchase/subscription agreements, joint development agreements, as well as limited/general partnership agreements for private funds. Ms. Kim’s representative matters include: representing a major Korean energy company in its acquisition and operation of a substantial working interest in U.S. shale gas assets for joint exploration and production; advising on multiple joint development agreements with leading companies in Vietnam, Indonesia, and the United Arab Emirates in the power generation and automobile manufacturing industries; and working with one of Asia’s largest entertainment and media groups in acquiring various entities with manufacturing, distribution and retail operations across the U.S., China, and Europe.

Prior to joining LKP Global Law, Ms. Kim was in-house counsel at SK Group, and an associate at Baker McKenzie.  Ms. Kim received her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings.  She is admitted in the State of California (2008).
